Announcing RiverKeepersOhio.com!!

Many of you know that I have been using my photo blog here at OpaRuns.com to report on the Tuscarawas River oil spill near the Wolf Creek Trailhead in Barberton, OH since July 6, 2023. It took a life of its own and I apologize to those that came here for the photos only.

Going forward, I’ll be going back to posting beautiful photos (with occasional updates on the river) and all related Riverkeepers Ohio information will now be on its own website at www.riverkeepersohio.com ! I worked with my wife, Sherry and her team to come up with a small site. We will be building it out over time with reporting our progress with our booms, waterway cleanups and anything to do with making our waterways cleaner for future generations.

I will still report on my Facebook page and entertaining the idea of establishing a RiverKeepers Ohio FB page and/or YouTube channel. If we do, I will let you know here, on the new site and in our newsletters.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We had over 200 people sign up for my Oparuns newsletter during the oil spill however, only five “confirmed” their email address. Sadly, if you did not confirm your email address, our newsletter provider MailerLite, will not let you receive the newsletter.

Good news is, if you go to the new Riverkeepersohio.com site, you can sign up for the Riverkeepers Ohio newsletter AND Oparuns newsletter. When you sign up just check the boxes of the newsletters you would like to receive. The key is to CHECK YOUR EMAIL afterwards to confirm.

I am looking forward to getting back to posting the kind of photos you love and would love to hear what you think of the new site which you can check out here.
