James Opa Runs picked up his whittling tool today and made himself a cool looking fly tying tool caddy with ‘wood spirits’ holding it together. 🎣 He still needs to stain it and put some finishing touches to it but it looks good to me! 😍

River was up from the storms but Eric and I decided to try our luck anyway. I had no luck other than great companionship of a like minded spirit. Eric on the other hand (or should I say foot) did manage to land a crappie and the biggest sucker I have ever seen come out of this section. He battled, fought, contorted, stumbled, fell in the water until he finally got the hook out of the bottom of his boot! Yeah, it was a pretty great day all on all.
